Mount Everest Base Camp

Journey to Lhasa to Mount Everest Base Camp, generally have two options to return at the end - one to return to Lhasa and Kathmandu on one more drive through the border town of Zhangmu China and Nepal.

If you are planning such a trip, you must first 2-3 days of freedom in Lhasa, not just sightseeing, but the high altitude acclimatization. Most people have no problem at high altitude after a few excellent. While sightseeing in Lhasa, at least most of the glory of Tibet - Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple in Tibet, the spiritual center. If time permits, usually from one day to the Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery a look at how Tibetan monks live and study to get there. Then drive Lhasa to other parts of the route.

As part of the road to Gyantse is now being renovated as the next step was Shigatse, the second largest city in Tibet. There is the
Tashilumpo monastery to save the largest bronze Buddha statue in the world. The ancient city of Lhasa and Shigatse are still very interesting. Look for some special gifts to the local market.

The next day we travel
Gyantse, or a visit (about 180 km there), or in advance and stored Ronbuk Gyantse monastery. Shigatse Ronbuk the long journey of 350 km is the hardest part of the last 100 km. Ronbuk monastery cloister is the highest in the world, and only 8 km from the Mt Everest Base Camp. Upon arrival, we were enjoying the glorious scenery of Mount Everest for the night. The evening usually stay Ronbuk monastery guest house.

And early the next morning we go forward, or a coach at Mount Everest Base Camp.As know that we have a very limited time in the real face of Mount Everest a year, many feel that it is an unforgettable experience in the use of only the highest mountain in the world .. You can enjoy the scenery of Mount Everest in the morning, return to Tingri Shigatse or forward depending on the last stop or Zhangmu Lhasa. .

Everest Base Camp on this tour, at least 7-8 days, including a high-altitude acclimatization in Lhasa. The most important time that from May to October, although year-round, except for a few days of snow in February (and this was the day of the Friendship Highway to Kathmandu in August). Some tourists said they believe that the other person is changed after the trip. I think maybe because they experienced something truly extraordinary life.
